International Arbitration

Scope & Purpose

International Commercial Arbitration is a form of alternative dispute resolution in which the parties to a business contract have agreed to resolve any contractual disputes before a private party and under terms agreed upon within the contract, thereby avoiding costly litigation before a court.  The purpose of this guide is to help you in conducting research in this field by identifying a selected list of primary and secondary sources available through the University of Miami Law Library and the internet.  As always, the reference desk is available to help you in your research.  Instructions for off-campus and wireless access to databases can be found here.
